Our Mission

At Oklahoma Honest Outdoors, our mission is to introduce kids and their families to the outdoors through safe, educational, and fully mentored deer hunting experiences.

Guided by experienced mentors, participants gain hands-on knowledge of hunting skills, firearm safety, ethical hunting practices, wildlife conservation, and responsible land stewardship—all while creating memories they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.

 We believe hunting is about much more than the harvest.

It’s about building confidence, strengthening family bonds, respecting the land and wildlife, and passing outdoor traditions on to the next generation.

Our mentors are there every step of the way, providing the guidance, encouragement, and knowledge families need to feel comfortable and confident in the outdoors. 

 Not every child has access to hunting land, equipment, experienced mentors, or the resources needed to experience hunting.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Oklahoma Honest Outdoors works to remove those barriers by providing all-inclusive opportunities for kids.

Our goal is simple: give more kids the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

 Our mission doesn't end with teaching a child how to hunt. Through responsible hunting, conservation education, and partnerships within our community, we help kids understand the importance of wildlife management, ethical hunting, conservation, and responsible stewardship of the land.

We want the next generation to understand that enjoying the outdoors also comes with a responsibility to protect it for those who come after us.

 Our goal is bigger than one successful hunt.

We want every child who comes through Oklahoma Honest Outdoors to leave with memories, confidence, respect for the outdoors, and a love for hunting that they can carry with them for a lifetime.

And one day, we hope they'll pass those same traditions and experiences on to the next generation.
