Oklahoma Honest Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to giving youth ages 10–15 the opportunity to experience hunting and the outdoors in a safe, educational, and supportive environment.
Oklahoma Honest Outdoors began in 2020, when Doug and Patrick came together in a dove field with an idea—to create opportunities for kids who wanted to hunt but may not have the resources or guidance to do so.
Their first youth hunt gave six kids the opportunity to harvest their first whitetail deer, and what started as one hunt quickly became a tradition worth continuing.
Through fully mentored youth hunts, experienced outdoorsmen and women teach firearm safety, hunting skills, ethical practices, conservation, and respect for the land and wildlife.
With the support of our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and landowners, these experiences are provided at no cost to participating families.
For us, success is about more than a harvest. It's about building confidence, creating family memories, and passing Oklahoma's outdoor traditions on to the next generation.
